Musina Children’s Resource Centre began as a volunteer-led response to the challenges facing vulnerable children in Musina and surrounding communities. Local community members came together to provide a safe place after school, nutritious meals, homework assistance and emotional support.
As community needs grew, the centre developed structured programmes and strengthened its team, governance and partnerships. Today, we operate from our own premises and support more than 300 children each month, primarily aged 5 to 18.
Our work supports children affected by poverty, family instability, migration-related challenges and limited access to essential services. We also work with caregivers, schools and community partners to strengthen the support available around each child.
Our vision, mission and motto guide our commitment to children’s rights, wellbeing and development. They reflect our belief that caring for children is a responsibility shared by families, communities and the organisations that serve them.
To uphold, protect, and promote the rights, wellbeing, dignity, and future of all children by creating safe, supportive, and empowering environments where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
To protect and promote the rights of vulnerable children through the provision of essential developmental, educational, psychosocial, and child protection services that improve their wellbeing, safety, resilience, and overall quality of life.

Through safeguarding practices, responsible management and cooperation with families and community partners, we work to make that commitment part of everyday life at the centre.
