Our programmes respond to the educational, emotional, social and everyday needs of vulnerable children. We work with children, families and community partners to provide support that strengthens their wellbeing and development.

We provide supervised homework assistance, literacy and numeracy support, reading activities and academic mentoring. Children receive encouragement to develop study skills, improve their understanding and stay engaged with school. Our after-school environment also gives learners a safe place to participate in educational and recreational activities.

We help children and communities understand children’s rights and recognise concerns affecting their safety. Through awareness activities, appropriate reporting and referrals, we work with social workers, schools, health facilities and other relevant services to connect children with protection and support.

Children receive emotional guidance, mentorship and opportunities to express themselves through supportive conversations and group activities. We help them build confidence, develop positive relationships and manage everyday challenges. Where additional care is needed, we refer children for specialised counselling and mental health support.

Our activities help children and young people develop communication, teamwork, problem-solving and decision-making skills. We encourage confidence, healthy relationships and personal responsibility through practical learning. Leadership development, goal setting and health awareness also help children make informed choices as they grow.

We work with parents, caregivers, schools and community organisations to strengthen the support surrounding children. Caregiver workshops, awareness activities and family support initiatives provide guidance on challenges affecting children’s wellbeing. We also connect families with relevant services through referrals and community partnerships.

Nutritional support forms part of the care provided to children attending the centre. Our community vegetable garden helps supplement meals and contributes to food security. These practical efforts support children’s everyday needs while helping the centre make better use of its resources.
We primarily support children and young people aged 5 to 18 in Musina and surrounding communities. This includes children facing poverty, unstable family circumstances, migration-related challenges or difficulties staying in school. Our work also supports the caregivers, schools and communities involved in their lives.

Contact our team to discuss programme participation, request information for a child or family, or explore a community partnership. We can explain the support available and guide you on the next steps.
